Wilderness is not a luxury, but a necessity of the human spirit.
I literally spent my childhood in the woods of New Jersey, adventuring around, learning the terrain, discovering senses dulled out by societies conveniences. For me it became extremely magical. Now I feel more at home in nature than I do in a home. It became my playground. A place to relieve the stresses of my past days. A period for me to reflect and gain the upmost clarity into my life’s purposes & directions. As I have gotten older my range for exploration has been extended to limitless lengths. From the local backwoods to the furthest reaches of the United States & out across the ocean blue into an alien land where there is only one certainty.
You are learning, growing, and adding to your experience bank.
There is something alleviating about being boundless. The idea of the World being your playground. You can be and do anything you desire with the energy and attitude in making it so.
Talk about freedom... I was taking a few adventures when I started to grasp the wanderlust spirit. I finally knew what something felt like when it broke, like shattered. I was in Oregon sailing around the country for the summer. The open road made my trip feel timeless, days only calculated by the Suns arc. We were just leaving Crater Lake when we realized we had no idea where to spend the night.
We had camping gear and that was always the go to, but this time we never made it a point to plan our slumber. That all caused no stress / worry. When you step outside of the selfish society bubble we’re in, you realize you are entering a shared World. A more peaceful world in fact, and a lot less demanding one. These facts alone are a huge reason that causes a person to experience wanderlust.
And every journey you partake grows your wanderlust sweet tooth. The paradigm that was shifted in me was relying on society to fill my human emotions and needs to the World and its creatures itself.
From an artificial World to a natural World.
There comes a point where you have to wonder if anyone else in the world feels like me. I am honored to be featured on ‘Been There Done That’ & ‘On The Map’.
Because I believe this message is important. Someone who needs an outlet to reconnect with their inner self. The part of you that wants to howl at the sky for the hell of it. That sleeping giant in you where the purest peace and love resides; usually pushed aside with the child inside you. I am certain of one medication that helps me live in that state.
When the week has beaten you down. The trauma / drama train comes into your life, crossroads begin to formulate calling for clarity, or for the flat out reason that your vibes are off.
